☆FERTILIZATION:-

》》The action or process of fertilizing an egg or a female animal or plant , involving fusion of male and female gametes to form a zygote .

》》It's also said as insemination , implantation .

》》The fusion of gametes takes inside or outside the body.

》》Plant fertilization is the joining of male and female gametes, resulting in a zygote .

☆The most generalized form of this process requires four steps :-

》》POLLINATION , GERMINATION AND FERTILISATION. After fertilization , the zygote divides to form an embryo.

》》Based on this fertilisation is based on - external or internal fertilisation .

☆EXAMPLE OF INTERNAL FERTILISATION :-

◇In MAMMALS , REPTILES , BIRDS , and some types of FISH the gametes meet inside of the female's body .

☆EXAMPLE OF EXTERNAL FERTILISATION:-

◇SALMON , COD, TROUT AND CHAR are all examples of the fishes that externally fertilize .
