concept : if (h,k) is the centre of cirlce and r is the radius of that circle then, equation of cirlce is (x - h)² + (y -k)² = r²

Given,
centre = (1, 1) and radius (r) = √2

then, equation of circle is
(x -1)² + (y-1)² = √2²
x² - 2x + 1 + y² - 2y + 1 = 2
x² + y² - 2x - 2y = 0

hence, equation of cirlce is x² + y² -2x -2y = 0
