This is because lying on a cushion acquires more area, and as we know when area is increased pressure decreases.
Therefore when a person stands on cushion, the depression is much more than when he lies down on it.

when a man stands the area of his foot is small, compared to the body when he lies on it so when the area is small or less pressure is more.hope u got ii
