(1/5 +i2/5 ) - (4 +i5/2)

use here, (a + ib) - (x + iy) = (a - x) + i (b - y)

= (1/5 - 4) + i(2/5 - 5/2)
= ( 1 - 20)/5 + i(4 - 25)/10
= -19/5 + i(-21/10)
= (-19/5) +(-21/10)i

Hence, (-19/5) + (-21/10)i is the answer.
