Yes, whenever I read this story I am reminded of ‘Birth’ by A. J. Cronin that I read in Snapshots last year. There is a very clear striking similarity between both. Both revolve around the themes of humanity, love, affection, selflessness and a strong sense of duty. Both have doctors that try their best to save the lives of other humans who are nearly dead

Yes, this story reminds me of the story"Birth" by A.J. Cronin.
Both the stories have some similarities.
Both, Dr. Sadao and Dr. Andrew Manson did so irrespective of their stressed mental condition. In both the stories the doctors have shown their humanity towards saving the life other human beings. They both did that with care, sympathy and devotion.
