Though all the human beings come from the same stock, yet by the passage of time they are divided into the narrow walls of nation, relihion, caste and creed. Gradually hatered with the enemy country became an accepted feeling and it was considered to be justifiable. That is why the prisoners of war are treated in such an unhuman way.
But we still find a few exceptional human beings who rise above these narrow prejudices. Survival of humanity and of human beings is of paramount importance to them. This is shown in the story by Dr. Sadao's character. He saved the life of a human being whether he belonged to his enemy country.
