when salt is dissolved in water it forms a mixture, and through a process of heating the water can be evaporated completely and the salt can be derived back in normal form as the remaining residue after evaporation.

This scientific experiment clearly depicts that the solution is a mixture which can be separated through definite process and each ingredient of the mixture can be derived.
