The hormone deficiency which is responsible for following disease:

A) diabetes mellitus : insulin hormone.
a decrease in the level of insulin decreases the glucose absorbtion as the function of insulin is to stimulate the permeability and consumption of glucose . Also insulin is antagonist to glucagon. Decrease in level of insulin causes an increase in level of glucagon and hence glucose level in blood.

B) goitre : thyroxin hormone.
The hormone thyroxin is a derivative of iodine. When there if a deficiency of iodine in food then thyroid try to absorb more and more iodine from blood and increases in size causing simple goitre.
