The flowering response in short-day plants and long-day plants is dependent on the durations for which these plants are exposed to light. The short-day plant and long-day plant can flower at the same place, provided they have been given an adequate photoperiod.

Hey there,
The responses that we can see in short day flowering plants and long day flowering plants is due to the duration of their photoperiod , that also depends on for how much duration does the plants have been exposed to light.
So, both of these plants can flower at the same time provided when they gets adequate photoperiod.
Thanks!
