Answer:

We know PRT/100 = Simple interest

So, P = ₹15000

S.I = ₹5400

T= 3

So, ATQ,

15000 x R x 3/100 = 5400

450R = 5400

R = 5400/450

R = 12% Ans

Hope this helps ☺️

Step-by-step explanation:

formula for simple interest = PRT/100

where P= Principal

R= Rate

T= Time

Make R the subject of formula

I= PRT/100

cross multiply

100I =PRT

divide both sides by PT

R=100I/PT

where R is unknown

P=Rs. 15000 I=Rs. 5400 and T= 1yr

R={100(5400)}/{15000(1)}

R=540000/15000

R=36%
