Given that cost of dozen bananas = 15 rupees.
That means the cost of 12 bananas = 15 rupees.
Then the cost of 1 banana = 15/12.
Given that cost of 8 oranges = 40
Then the cost of 1 orange = 40/8
= 5.
the ratio of cost of banana to the cost of orange = 15/12/5
= 15/60
= 1/4
= 1 : 4.
Hope this helps!
