1) Primitive subsistence farming - This farming is done over small area using digging tools , hoe etc.

2) Intensive subsistence farming - In this various pesticides are used it is done on a bigger area and labours are also hired.

3) Commercial farming- In this farming. huge acres of area is used up and I'm this farming crops are grown for marketing.

Primitive subsistence farming:-

It is practised on small patches of land with the help of primitive tools. This type of farming depends upon the monsoons and natural fertility of the soil. It is also called 'slash and burn' agriculture.

Intensive subsistence farming:-

Commercial Farming. In this type of farming, crops produced by the farmers are mainly consumed by their families. Surplus production is sold in the near by local markets. Crops mainly grown are: wheat, rice etc.

Commercial Farming:-

In commercial Farming crops are grown and animals are reared for sale in the market, that is, for commercial purposes, while in Subsistence farming crops are grown mainly for the farmer's family needs. ... In Commercial Farming: The area cultivated and the amount of capital invested is large.
