Question for biology lovers
In G1 phase ,each chromosome has a single dna duplex or chromatin thread and is thus monad in nature.

What is meant by ‘single dna duplex’ and ‘monad’

also plz simplify the above statement

Single DNA duplex means a double helix model of a DNA and monad means unit.
