Arunuchal Pradesh , faces sun rise more earlier than any other state in India due to it being more towards the East . Since Gujarat is more far away from the eastern side of India as compared to Arunachal Pradesh , it gets it's sun rise 2 hours after that of Arunachal Pradesh . Since both the states have 2 hours gap between the time when they get their sun rise , their average time gap also becomes 2 hours . But our India's standard meridian , which is the 82°30 ' east longitude ( passes through Mirzapur , Uttar Pradesh ) is taken as the standard meridian who is used to measure the time of all states of India , since there isn't a big difference between them . In short , due to our India adopting the 82°30 ' east longitude , our watches will show the time according to it which means that all over the India the watches will show the same time irrespective of their minute or tiny time gaps .
