• Given radius of well = 3.5 m

• Given height of well = 10 m

• Then, Volume of the soil in the well,

= volume of a cylinder (as well is in the shape of a cylinder)

 = \pi {r}^{2} h

 = \frac{22}{7} \times 3.5 \times 3.5 \times 10

 =  \frac{2695}{7}

 = 385

= 385 m³

• Now, the cost of digging 1 m³ is 30 Rs.

=>>> Cost of digging 385 m³,

 = 385 \times 30

 = 11550

= 11550 Rs.

•°• The village authorities would have to pay 11550 Rs to the labourers to dig a well of radius 3.5 m and height 10 m.

Answer:

radius of a well=3.5cm

height of the well=10m

volume of the well=πr^2h

22/7×3.5×3.5×10

=385m^2

therefore the cost to be paid to the labours @ 30 per metre cube=385×30=11550
