Let the numerator be X.
Numerator=X
Denominator=2x-2
Therefore the fraction is x/2x-2
It is given that when 3 is added to both numerator and the denominator the new fraction is 2/3
Hence,
x+3/2x-2+3=2/3
x+3/2x+1=2/3
3x+9=4x+2
x=7
Therefore the fraction is 7/12
Hope this may help u....
