"In chapter 2 of 'The story of my Life' by Helen Keller, she narrates how she began to understand her illness and the resultant disabilities of being blind and deaf. It is such a disastrous moment for anyone but Helen Keller being a strong girl slowly understands her disabilities and starts to learn to live her life being blind and deaf.
She mastered gesture and sign language slowly which her mother understood and supported. She could communicate almost all her needs to her mother. She started to lead a normal life by playing with her playmate Martha and her sister. She also describes Anne Sullivan's arrival and how it changed her life.
She mentions how she felt when her dad expired."
