Air is not filled in electric bulb because the filament, which becomes extremely hot when the light is on, would rapidly oxidize and burn out, since air is mixture of different gases, in oxygen is one of them and oxygen supports burning and oxidation.

Hope this helps you friend

Becoz the filament, which becomes hot when the bulb is on, would fastly oxidise and burns, since air is the mixture of so many gases, supports burning. Sometimes bulb can explode as it heats up the air.
