construction- join OD and OB

proof:-

in triangleODQ

using Pythagoras theorem

OD^2=OQ ^2+ QD ^2

20^2=OQ^2+12^2

400-144=OQ^2

276=OQ^2

_/256 =OQ^2

16cm=OQ

similarly applying Pythagoras theorem in triangles OBP

we get

OB^2=OP^2+BP^2

20^2=OP^2+16^2

400-256=OP^2

OP^2=144

OP=12cm

adding the length of OQ and OP

we will receive the length of PQ

OQ+OP=PQ

16+12=PQ

28 cm= PQ
