1. Insert five rational numbers between :

 -  \frac{1}{2}  \: and \:  \frac{2}{3}
2. State whether true/false

a) The rational numbers = -5/-7 and 7/-9 lie on opposite sides of zero on the number line

[ 1 ] First of all we will equal the denominator

So the LCM of 2 and 3 is 6

➟ -1/2 * 3/3 = -3/6

➟ 2/3 * 2/2 = 4/6

★ Now the five rational No.(s) between -3/6 and 4/6 are

-2/6 ,-1/6 ,1/6 , 2/6 , 3/6

[ 2 ] Yes , This Statement is True .

➟ As , -5/-7 = 5/7 is a Positive Integer

➟ But , 7/-9 = -7/9 is a Negative Integer

So , They will Lie on Opposite Sides of Zero on the Number Line .
