Answer:
1. PPM refers to parts per million, which in turn is used to denote very small concentrations in a solution.
The amount difference between solute and solvent is in the order of
10^6.
For example:
1 mg of solute per litre of solvent is referred to as 1 PPM.
In order to make a solution measuring in PPM, it is to be made sure that solvent: solute ratio should be 10^6.
2. 100 PPM solution can be prepared be mixing 100 mg solute in 1 litre solvent.
10 PPM solution is prepared by mixing 10 mg solute in 1 litre solvent.
1 PPM solution can be prepared by mixing 1 mg solute in 1 litre solvent.
