Heya.......................

Given that,

Focal length of f =24 cm

Distance from the mirror =60 cm

Now, using mirror formula

1/f = 1/u + 1/v.........(1)

=> 1/24 = 1/v + 1/60

=> v = 40 cm

Now, on differentiating of equation (1)

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

=> 0 = -1/v^2× dv/dt - 1/u^2 × du/dt

=>dv /dt = -v^2 du/ u^2 dt

=> dv/ dt= (-40×40 /60×60) ×9

=> dv/ dt = -4 cm/s

Here, negative sign indicates that the velocity of image is away from the mirror.

Hence, the velocity of the image is 4 cm/s

Hope it's helpful........ ☺
