Given :

  • Curved Surface Area of Cylinder = 88cm²
  • Height of the Cylinder = 14cm

To Find :

  • Find the Radius of Cylinder ?

Solution :

  • We know that,

➣ CSA of Cylinder = 2πrh

According to the question :

➣ 88 = 2 × 22/7 × r × 14

➣ 88 = 2 × 22 × r × 2

➣ 88 = 2 × 22 × 2 × r

➣ 88 = 2 × 44 × 2

➣ 88 = 88 × r

➣ 88/88 = r

➣ 1cm = r

➣ r = 1cm

Hence,

  • Radius of the Cylinder is 1cm.

Given

2πrh = 88 cm²

 \sf \: 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \times 14cm = 88 \\

 \sf \: r =  \frac{88 \times 7}{2 \times 22 \times 14}  \\

 \sf \: r =  \frac{616}{616}   \\

 \sf \: r = 1
