Subject : Need for repair of Thana Road and a bridge over the Nila Stream .
Sir ,
Our District Board needs to wake up . We have drawn their attention more than once to the deplorable condition of the Thana Road and the need for a new bridge over the Nila stream . As our appeals have had no effect , I approach your esteemed newspaper with the request that a short paragraph may kindly be inserted in your ' Complaints ' column . This road and the bridge are the only thoroughfare connecting the suburbs with the main bazaar . A large number of cars , buses and other vehicles have to pass over these daily . The already bad condition of the road has become worse due to heavy rains . There are more pot - holes than one can count . The condition of the bridge built some 25 years ago is so bad that one holds one's breath while crossing it . It's a disaster waiting to happen . Urgent repairs and a plan for a four - lane bridge are a must .
You could send a reporter with a photographer to bring out the gravity of the situation .
With kind regards ,
Yours truly ,
