The white cranes are likened to the metallic cranes, the only difference is that the metallic birds do not give birth to other birds rather they give birth to big cities.

the two dancers mentioned in the first stanza of the white beautiful alluring flawless cranes that are on the verge of extinction and on the other hand we have those metallic manmade cranes which are used to make buildings for the contrast we could say that the first claims verb beautiful alluring natural birds which were the part of a ecosystem but were extinct by the human nature of selfishness which resulted in the extinction and on the other hand they are being compared with the metallic creams as the metallic cranes are dancing accept of the bird cranes in the cities to make new buildings for the human beings due to this selfish behaviour
