In the first stanza narrator really wanted to
know how the time started and he wonder and confused whether there was a big explosion which created the universe.
In the second stanza he is interested to know why the dinosaurs died inspite of being such huge creatures. He is amazed that all that one can see of these once mighty and powerful creatures are their fossilized remains.
In the third stanza the narrator wonders when creature likes ape and the monkey which considered to be our ancestors turned into human being, he also wander how their brain developed into powerful brain of human.
ln the last stanza the poet is looking for the answers to riddles like what makes the ice caps melt and how one can go back to world. The other questions that trouble him are where we all have come from and where all of us go after die . He is extremely interested to know who is in charge of the word and all the charge that take place here.
