Its excessive use means its increase in the environment. Plastic isn't itself harmful.But its method of decomposition is harmful. When we burn plastic, it produces harmful and poisonous gases like CO, CO2(CO2 is not poisonous, but it causes global warming) . Directly or indirectly affecting the environment and its creature. Thus ' Plastic Is A Threat To The Environment.'

2) Bakelite is a good choice for making elecrical switches and handles of cooking utensils as it is a good insulator or bad conductor. Being a good insulator, it resist the flow of current through the switches and prevents heating of handles of cooking utensils, thus preventing from electrical shocks and burns.
