Quick Write: Character Comparison.
In Chapter 29, we get Scout’s account of the events that took place on the way home from the school pageant. In a casual sense, this account is a bit like her testimony. The only other testimony we receive from a female character comes from Mayella Ewell in Chapter 18.
Mayella’s testimony: Starts on page 93 (in the PDF).
Scout’s testimony: Starts on page 139 (in the PDF).
Write a paragraph comparing the two testimonies. How are they similar? How are they different? What might Harper Lee be trying to highlight through this representation?
Please complete this for me ASAP. Thanks!
