(i)-in ∆ADE and ∆ABC
ang.ade =ang.abc(corresponding Angles)
ang.aed=ang.acb(corresponding angles)
hence the triangles are similar by A.A

(iii)-ar.ABC/ar.ADE=AB²/AD²
=(AD+BD)²/AD²=(AD+2AD)²/AD²=9AD²/AD²=9

18/ar.ADE=9:1
ar.ADE=2

HENCE AREA OF DBCE=18-2=16

(ii)-as the triangle is similar
hence sides are proportional
=AD/AB=DE/BC
=AD/3AD=4.5/BC
=1/3=4.5/BC
=BC=4.5*3=13.5
