MANREGA stands for Mahatma Gandhi National rural employment guarantee act it is actually introduced in year 2005 by Indian government but it was firstly introduced by the Narasimha Rao government in the year 1991 where the LPG policy was introduced by by him which is also called new economic policy 1991 .after that it take many years to implement but still 2005 in April MANREGA cover almost 26 states of India and 625 districts of the whole India where the government gives employment 100 days of employment to the rural workers and the most important thing is that the government give employment to hundred days of employment to the rural employees it has some circumstances and has some situations the most important situation is that the work is under the gram panchayat is for the betterment of society for the economy it means for the roads bridges for the building of roads roads bridges and infrastructure for development of infrastructure and also the main theme of this policy is that ipravent prevent from the corruption means there some officers letter appointed for the MANREGA scheme so that there will be no corruption and the distribution of salary and the job should be provided in the 5 kilometre range
