selling price = Rs 650
gain = 1 / 5 of the cost price
= 1 / 5 * x
= x / 5
so , acc, to the question ,
x + x/ 5 = 650
=>6x / 5 = 650
=> x = 650 * 5 / 6
=> x = 542 ( answer )
