Let m be the mass of the gold bought.

Let m be the mass of the gold bought. Also, let the acceleration due to gravity at poles and at equator be g

Let m be the mass of the gold bought. Also, let the acceleration due to gravity at poles and at equator be g p and g e respectively.

Let m be the mass of the gold bought. Also, let the acceleration due to gravity at poles and at equator be g p and g e respectively.Acceleration due to gravity at poles is slightly greater than that at equator.

The weight at North Pole is more than that at the equator.
This is because the acceleration due to gravity depends on the ‘radius’ of the earth and since the earth is bulged at the equator, it is less.
