Hey Mate

Here the question is given in direct speech, so our aim is to make it into indirect.
Since Radha is speaking to Mira, we can say :

 \color{red} \underline\mathbb{\:Indirect\:Speech}

Radha told Mira to cook food.

=>When we write it in indirect, we should remove the inverted comas and coma. We should write it in the third person.

We are provided with a sentence that is written in direct speech and we are asked to convert the sentence into indirect speech. The sentence will be written using indirect speech as under:

  • Indirect speech means a sentence that is written in the reported form.
  • So the sentence provided to us should be written in a reported form.
  • The sentence will also have to be converted from a first-person sentence to a third-person sentence.
  • For the above to happen the sentence will have to be altered a little.
  • The alteration of the sentence does not matter while writing a sentence in indirect speech.
  • What is more important is that the meaning of the sentence should not change.
  • To write the sentence in the indirect speech the hyphenated commas will have to be written and the word says has to be converted into the word 'told.'
  • The sentence in indirect speech will be written as Radha told that Mira cooked the food.
