Given:-

r =10 cm

h =25 cm

To find:- curved surface area(C.S.A) and total surface area (T.S.A)

for finding C.S.A the formula is 2πrh

C.S.A = 2πrh

= 2×22 × 10 ×25

7

= 1571.42 cm^2

for finding T.S.A we will calculate formula.

two end curves of cylinder are circle in shape and it's formula is πr^2 and there's two circle therefore 2πr^2.

and there's a curved surface whose formula is 2πrh.

therefore we have derived the formula that

T.S.A = 2πrh + 2πr^2

= 2πr (h + r)

=2×22 × 10 (25+10)

7

=440 (35)

7

= 440(5)

= 2200 cm^2

Answer:

curved surface area is 1571. 42 cm²

Total surface area is 2200 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

curved surface area = 2πrh

=2 × 22/7 × 10 ×25

= 1571. 42 cm²

total surface area = 2πr(r+h)

=2 × 22/7 × 10 (10 +25)

= 440 /7 × (35)

=440 × 5

= 2200 cm ²
