Concept Introduction: Mirror and lenses are basics for physics.

Given:

We have been Given: Focal length

30cm

refractive index

 \frac{3}{2}

To Find:

We have to Find: the radius of curvature of that surface is?

Solution:

According to the problem, By Lens Maker's Formula we get,

 \frac{1}{f}  = (n - 1)( \frac{1}{r1}  -  \frac{1}{r2} ) \\  \frac{1}{30}  = ( \frac{3}{2}  - 1)( \frac{1}{r} +  \frac{1}{3r} ) \\  \frac{1}{30}  =  \frac{2}{3r}  \\ r =  \frac{2 \times 30}{3}  \\ r = 20cm

Final Answer: The Radius of Curvature is

20cm
