Given

  • Radius of the base of right circular Cylinder = 14dm = 14/10 = 1.4m
  • Height of cylinder = 15m

To find

  • Curved surface area of Cylinder
  • Total surface area of the cylinder

Solution

As we know that

Curved surface area of cylinder

→ 2πrh

→ 2 × 22/7 × 1.4 × 15

→ 132m²

Now, total surface area of cylinder

→ 2πr(r + h)

→ 2 × 22/7 × 1.4(1.4 + 15)

→ 2 × 22 × 0.2 × 16.4

→ 144.32m²

Hence,

  • Curved surface area of Cylinder = 132m²
  • Total surface area of Cylinder = 144.32
