Radius of the outer circle is 18 cm and the radius of the inner circle is 7 cm. What is the area of the region between the outer and the inner circles?

Radius of the outer circle is R = 18 cm

Radius of the inner circle is r = 7 cm.

∴ The area of the region between the outer and the inner circles

= πR² - πr²

= π(R² - r²)

= π(18² - 7²)

= π(18 + 7)(18 - 7)

= π(25)(11)

= 275π cm² ≈ 863.5 cm²

∴ The area of the region between the outer and the inner circles is 863.5 cm²
