Rahul bought some pens for Rs.80 at a discount of Rs.2 on each pen.Without discount he would have got two less pens for the same price.Find the price of a pen with discount?

● According to the given question the total amount spent to buy X number of pens is 80.

● Let the price of pen is Y and hence the discounted amount will be Y - 2.

So from the question it can be written as

X (y -2) = y (x-2)

Xy - 2x = xy - 2y

Hence x = y

And x (x-2) = 80

X = 10

So discount price is 10-2 =8.
