1) dry the soil sample in an oven or out in the sun to remove moisture

2) take 3 sieves of different sizes (2mm,0.05mm,0.002mm) and arrange them in a collecting chamber

3) collect the fractions in 3 compartments

4) the particles that have 2-0.05 diameter is sand

the particles that have 0.05-0.002 diameter is silt

the particles that have less than 0.002mm diameter is clay

therefore by this experiment Rahul can know the composition of soil
