then,
rahul's age =  x + 12 years.

Four Years ago,
Seema age = x - 4 years 
rahul's age = x + 12 -4 = x + 8 years .

According to Question:-

x-4x=-16-8
-3x = -24 .
x = 8 years .

Present Age of seema = 8 years .
Present Age of rahul = 8+12 = 20 years.
