Rahul prepared a solution of copper sulphate by dissolving 20 g of copper sulphate in
180 g of water whereas Sneha prepared the same solution using 30 g of copper sulphate
in 270 g of water. Calculate the concentration in terms of mass by mass percentage of the
solution in both the cases.

Answer:
Rahul's case....
mass of solute + mass of solvent= 20g + 180g = 200g
total mass of the solution = 200g
now mass percentage of solution
=(mass of solute/ mass of solution) x 100
=(20/200) x 100
=10%
Sneha's case....
mass of solute + mass of solvent= 30g + 270g = 300g
total mass of the solution = 300g
now mass percentage of solution
=(mass of solute/ mass of solution) x 100
=(30/300) x 100
=10%
