Question :-
Rahul sold a watch to sohan at a gain of 10% And sohan sold it to Mohan at a lost of 10% If Mohan paid ₹990. How many money paid by Rahul.
To Find :-
CP of the watch .
Answer :-
Let the CP of the watch be ₹ n
Given :
CP for Mohan = ₹990
Gain for Rahul = 10%
Loss for Sohan = 10%
According to question,
n(1+10%)(1-10%) = ₹990
=> n(1+10/100)(1-10/100) = ₹990
=> n(110/100)(90/100) = ₹990
=> n × 1.1 × 0.9 = ₹990
=> 0.99n = ₹990
=> n = ₹990/0.99
=> n = ₹990 × 100 / 99
=> n = ₹1000
Therefore, Cost Price of the Watch = ₹n = ₹1000.
