Rahul used a 16 m 42 cm long pole to measure the depth of a pond.
If 9 m 44 cm of the pole remained above the water level, what was the
depth of the pond?​

length of pole = length of pole inside water + length of pole outside water

if you observe length of pole inside water = depth

length of pole = depth + length of pole outside

water

putting the values

16.42 = depth + 9.44

depth = 16.42 - 9.44

= 6.98 m
