Rain clouds moving from west to east are blocked by a mountain range and cause rain only on the western side. This makes the weather on the western side rainy and the side dry. Which of these Earth systems interact to make this difference in climate?

This difference in climate may occur due to the result of water rising from a larger water body and being interrupted by the mountains in between.
- When rainy clouds move from the west to the east side and stopped by the mountains, the rain will happen only on the west side.
- Thus, the dry eastern side is called the rain shadow.
- Air becomes moist when water evaporates and makes rain clouds and when these rain clouds head towards the mountains, get forced upwards by them.
