It is an example because after rain when sunlight falls on earth then the sun light get reflected in the sky and remains there tiil the sun sets therefore its called continuous spectrum

the colour of the rainbow is due to dispersion of the sunlight by million of tiny water droplets the Ray's of sunlight ener the drop near it's surface at this first refraction the white light is dispersed into its spectrum of colours violet is being deviated the most and red the least this refraction occurs continually causes continuous spectrum
