To calculate the distance travelled around the park, we need to calculate the perimeter.

Raj

Length of rectangular park = 60m

Breadth of rectangular park = 15m

Therefore perimeter of rectangular park = 2 x (60m + 15m)

                                                                    = 2 x 75m

                                                                    = 150m

Now, Raj took 4 rounds of it.

Therefore total distance = 4 x 150m

                                         = 600

Rani

Side of park = 35m

Therefore perimeter of square park = 4 x 35m

                                                            = 140m

Rani took 3 rounds of it

Therefore total distance = 3 x 140m

                                         = 420m

Since 600m > 420m, Raj travelled a greater distance.

And he covered 600m - 420m = 180m more than Rani
