Given : Rajesh has a triangular shaped chocolate  A B C which is a right angled at B . AB = 16 cm and B C = 12cm

D E and  F and mid- points of AC & AB and BC

To Find : Rajesh gives a center part per to his  daughter Parul, calculate the area of her  part.​

Solution:

AB = 16 cm

BC = 12 cm

D E and  F and mid- points of AC & AB and BC

line joining the mid-point of two sides of a triangle is equal to half the length of the third side

DE = BC/2 = 12/2  = 6 cm

DF = AB/2 = 16/2 = 8 cm

centre part  = DEF

Area of ΔDEF = (1/2) * DE * DF

= (1/2) * 6 x 8

= 24   cm²

Area of  centre part = 24   cm²
