Let the time for him to reach the office just in time be x.

Find the distance needed if he walked at 5 km/h

Distance = Speed x Time

Distance = 5 (x + 10/60 ) = 5x + 5/6

Find the distance needed if he walked at  6km/h

Distance = Speed x Time

Distance = 6 (x - 15/60) =6x -3/2

Solve x :

Since both the distance are the same:

5x + 5/6 = 6x - 3/2

x = 7/3 = 2 1/3 hour

Find the distance:

Distance = Speed x Time

Distance = 5 x (2 1/3 + 10/60) = 12.5 km

Answer: The distance is 12.5 km

Answer: 12.5 km

Step-by-step explanation: very easy solution...

First multiply both speed (5 x 6)

and add both time(10+15=25 min )

Time in minute then convert into hour divide By 60.

= 5 x 6 x (10+15)/60

= 25/2

= 12.5 km
