as the experiment goes the covered part of leaf remains colourless...
we take a leaf and cover the middle portion of the leaf with strip and then we use the iodine solution to check out the presence of starch ,then we see that the colour of uncovered portion of leaf get changed to blue/ black colour but the colour of covered part don't get change
this shows the presence of starch becoz there occur photosynthesis and glucose is formed ie stored in the form of starch...
hence the covered part don't change colour becoz there is no starch.....
