Solution :-

Let us assume that, the dress was being sold at Rs.100x before the sale .

so,

→ Sale = 30% of 100x = (30 * 100x)/100 = Rs.30x

then,

→ Raji bought the dress at = Initial price - sale .

A/q,

→ 100x - 30x = 2100

→ 70x = 2100

→ x = 30

therefore,

→ The dress was being sold at = 100x = 100 * 30 = Rs.3000 (Ans.)

Method 2) :-

→ Initial Price = (Buying price * 100) / (100 - sale %)

→ Initial Price = (2100 * 100) / (100 - 30)

→ Initial Price = (2100 * 100) / 70

→ Initial Price = Rs.3000 .

Hence, the was dress being sold for Rs.3000 before the sale .
